A-STONE 150-4D Glass fabric (reinforcement fabric)

The A-STONE plaster reinforcement fabric uses a special triaxial weave that provides the unique reinforcing ability of the A-STONE fabric.

A-STONE 150-4D Glass fabric (also known as reinforcement fabric) is used together with A-STONE gypsum to laminate thin and lightweight panels of a technical or decorative nature. It can be used for a variety of applications such as:

• Cladding panels
• Architectural decoration
• Making silicone moulds
• Reinforcing polystyrene models
• General construction work, including lamination

The fabric is available by the metre 1m2 – (120x80cm) or in full as roll (50m2)

A-STONE gypsum is a material characterised by high strength.

For projects that need even greater strength, this can be achieved by laminating A-STONE 150-4D Glass fabric, made from glass fibre, to the surface of this material. Such a process significantly increases the resistance of the model, including its ability to withstand breakage.

Why use dedicated A-STONE 150-4D Glass fabrics?

A-STONE gypsum, unlike polyesters, does not absorb fabric, but instead creates a kind of open structure on the fabric. As a result, the A-STONE 150-4D Glass fibreglass fabric is perfectly aligned with the A-STONE plaster, allowing a perfect transition between the layers.

The best results in laminating with A-STONE 150-4D Glass fabric are achieved by applying a wet fabric over the wet A-STONE plaster and then applying another wet layer on top. This method provides the best bond between the layers. Nevertheless, even after a few days, further layers can be added, achieving a very solid bond. Simply apply fresh A-STONE gypsum to the cured surface before placing the next layer of fabric.
